Commonwealth Youth Choir Auditions

Information About Auditions

Commonwealth Youth Choir is comprised of both training and performing programs for children ages 6 through 18. Most of our singers begin in the training groups, and matriculate to our performing and touring ensembles throughout their childhood. Ensembles begin with Prelude, our beginning training choir, and then Sonata, Harmonia, and Cadenza, which are age-based ensembles. CYC rehearses in Chestnut Hill.

Each singer auditions for one of our conductors. The audition consists of simple vocal exercises to determine the range and abilities of each singer. No preparation is required for an audition.

Scheduling Your Audition

Auditions and rehearsals are held at the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill at 8855 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19118. There is parking available at the church.
